Fish To Moon

from Flow by Ben Riddle

/

about

Fish To Moon is a reference taken from an old Persian Sufism Book of prose called 'Language Of The Birds', which refers to everything in our lives from the water to the galaxy, what we can see.
This inspired me to write a song about being content with what you have and perceive around you. By recognising and being aware of the present moment we can ground ourselves and experience a greater sense of flow in our lives.

lyrics

No matter what you seem to do
You feel you’re always left behind
Cause the drugs don’t every work
They just keep you numb inside

The more that you can love your soul
The more you’ll love your life
When the road it starts to bend
You’re as free as you’ll ever get

This could be everything
This could be all I want
This could be everything
Right now with you it’s everything I want

I was thinking I should go away
Then your smile it changed my mind
All of this from fish to moon
Everything’s going to be alright

What I really want to say today
I’m lost in finding words
But when the sun now it starts to set
You’re as free as you’ll ever get

This could be everything
This could be all I want
This could be everything
Right now with you it’s everything I want
